There is lots of good and long riding here. Trails are not as well maintained as in other nearby areas (Leominster SF or Groton TF). Many of the main trails are wide enough for off road vehicles but there is also a decent number of single tracks.<br />

Most of the trails are in the part of the forest that is east of Barker Hill Rd, but there are also some nice trails west of that road including a nice vista and an old quarry.<br />
<br />
This is also a decent place to bring along dogs.
The best parking for this place is on Fessenden Hill Rd off Brookline St (Rt 13) about 0.5 miles after you pass the School on the left when driving north on Rt 13. Fessenden Hill Rd actually allows driving into the State Forrest if the gate is open.
